Happy start of the school year,

I hope everyone had a rejuvenating summer. We’re looking forward to another year of professional development opportunities.   Please share with fellow Certified School Nurses in your district.

*Please note, we DO NOT have access to Venmo this year.  Checks or cash only.

Our first meeting will be on October 17th at the Bucks County IU #22, 705 N. Shady Retreat Rd. General membership meeting from 5p-5:30p, followed by a presentation by Hannah Meyers, Public Health Program Manager at BCHIP, and head of the Bucks County Immunization Coalition and Kimberly Everett, Executive Director of CHIP.   CHIP is the Bucks County Health Improvement Partnership.

Hannah is very interested in tailoring their presentation to our needs. Take a look at their website, and is anything that you would specifically like to hear about, please let me know and I will pass it along.

**If you would like immunization language in specific languages, please let me know and I will ask her to bring some. She provided Russian, Spanish, and Ukrainian forms in the spring based on requested I had heard.

We still have an opening for President-Elect.  This is a board level positon that involves shadowing until the 2024-2025 school year, followed by two years as president.  Being president is a great experience that is very rewarding. The CSNABC board works together on all decisions making and planning, so you are never alone and function as part of a larger team.   President is a two year position, followed by two years as past-president.

Best,

Jen Leachko

CSNABC President
