2023 Meetings -Feb, April, May

Our next membership meeting will be Tuesday, February 21st, 5:30pm, at the Bucks County Intermediate Unit #22.

The presenter will be Lisa Borine, Family and Children Outreach Liaison at Doylestown Health. She will be reviewing community outreach data that is collected from 5 local counties, highlighting Bucks, about community needs. This information came from surveys and focus groups through collaborations with similar roles in area hospitals. She will also be reviewing local resources that pair with the needs highlighted through their studies.  Lisa is eager to present to our group – she also can provide health and wellness programs to students in her area, and connect us with similar staff outside of Doylestown area who can offer program access to our students.

Save the Date: Tuesday,  April 18 we will have Dr. Brandy Scombordi, OD for a Vision Screening workshop. J She will be bringing supplies, but we can also bring our own.
 **

End of year celebration dinner Save the Date! - Tuesday, May 9th at Maggio's -Retirees since the last dinner (pre-covid) will be honored.

We will be awarding scholarships again this year through our raffle ticket sales. Raffle tickets will be available for pick-up at the February meeting. If someone is unable to attend from your district, let us know.

Historically each district (or smaller districts pair up) and provides a raffle basket for the event.   Below is a list of ideas if you would like to claim one on behalf of your district.   Baskets can be brought to our spring meeting or we can arrange pick-up.  *If you have connections to an organization or restaurant that would like to provide a prize- it does not need to be a basket.  Baskets can be dropped off at April meeting or let us know so we can arrange a pick up.  Please let us know what basket theme you would like to do so we can advertise appropriately.

Family game night, Car detail, Chocolate/ treats/ candy/ movie tickets, Garden basket, Lottery ticket basket, Date night basket (gift cards for dinner), kitchen item basket, Fire Pit/S’mores, Massage/self care, Pet basket, Food delivery gift cards (or restaurants), “It’s Raining Cash” – umbrella with cash hanging from spokes, Grilling basket, Wine & chocolates, Outdoor sports/activities (camping chairs, cooler), Car Care, Organizing items (folders, containers, etc.), Wrapping Organizer (filled with gift wraps, greeting cards tape & tags, etc.), Food themed – Taco or Italian night, School Supplies
